The Carpe Diem Group (CDG) is inspired by the Latin meaning for Carpe Diem being “Seize the day (Opportunity)” and epitomises Carpe Diem’s commitment and business practice in regards to all business relationships and projects presented for review within the Group. The company mission is modelled on the Latin phrase “Vini Vidi Vici” – “I came, I saw, I conquered”, translated within Carpe Diem as “Opportunity – Commitment – Success”. This mission is accomplished through the management approach of identifying and fully investigating any business opportunity, committing to delivering outstanding service and value in this opportunity and constantly reviewing successes and failures wherever possible in order to better both deliveries of services and management performances available to prospective business partners. The group concentrates fully on the procurement, ownership and delivery of raw materials and logistics solutions to the manufacturing industry both locally within Southern Africa and abroad. These various raw materials supplied include Coal, Columbite and Limestone.
